DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to announce our next RareChat event!\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\nIn this 90-minute online event\, we will be focusing on “Creating accessible events on a budget’’. \nIn this RareChat\, we will facilitate a conversation among patient group leaders – both those experienced with events and first-timers.  \nThey will share their experiences\, tips and cost-effective solutions for making events more accessible and inclusive\, without breaking the bank. \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				About the Event\nOne in four people live with some form of disability\, making it crucial to organise inclusive events that adapt to diverse needs. This is especially important in the rare disease community\, where attendees may require specific accommodations such as dietary considerations\, sensory accessibility\, and mobility support.  \nAdditionally\, it is essential to consider accommodations beyond physical and medical needs\, such as familial or cultural requirements. Adding to the challenge\, patient support organisations often have limited resources\, making accessibility and inclusivity incredibly difficult. \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Join us to discuss\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\nPractical ideas for ensuring event accessibility on a budget\nThe experiences of other patient group leaders and advocates\nCommon challenges when balancing accessibility on a budget\, and how they can be overcome\nLow-cost and free resources available for event planners\n\nCome along to share your opinions and hear from your fellow patient group leaders.
