Where is the showcase and how do I get there?

The showcase is taking place at The Clayton Hotel, 27-29 Station Road, Cambridge, CB1 2FB. The hotel is directly opposite Cambridge Train Station, just a 2-minute walk across the concourse.

Travel by Train:
Cambridge Train Station is on a direct line from several major locations including:

London (Kings Cross and Liverpool Street)
Ely
Peterborough
Ipswich
Norwich
Birmingham
Brighton
Leicester
Stansted Airport
Gatwick Airport

Travel by Bicycle:
Bike parking is available in the open bike racks outside the hotel or at the Cambridge Station Cycle Park.

Travel by Car:

Cambridge Station Car Park: 2-minute walk from the hotel
Cambridge Leisure Park Car Park: 10-minute walk from the hotel
Both car parks offer accessible parking spaces.
Free parking may be available in nearby side streets after 5 or 6 pm.

Will food and drink be provided?

Yes!

Complimentary drinks (wine and non-alcholic options) will be available throughout the evening. Attendees can also purchase their own drinks at the hotel bar.

A selection of canapés will be provided, with meat, fish and vegetarian options included as standard. Additional dietary requirements can be submitted during the registration process and we will do our best to accomodate all delegates.

Is the venue accessible?

The hotel has step-free access and the showcase will take place in a ground-floor room.

If you have any accessibilty requirements, please note these on your registration form so we can ensure your needs are met and inform the venue of any considerations that may need to be made in the event of an emergency.

Is there a charge for carers?

Free tickets are available for carers accompanying any paid and registered delegate. If you require a free carer ticket, please contact projects@rarebeacon.org.

Do you offer discounts on tickets?

We are offering an early bird discount on all tickets purchased before 11th April.

We offer additional discounts for organisations looking to purchase 5 or 10+ tickets for their team. Get in touch with projects@rarebeacon.org to order your group tickets.

We may be able to offer complimentary tickets to a limited number of patients or patient groups for whom cost is a barrier to attending. To discuss options, please reach out to us at projects@rarebeacon.org.

Will you have COVID-19 protocols in place?

Attendees can expect:

Hand sanitisers and anti-bacterial wipes throughout the venue.
Facemasks on offer for any delegate who wishes to wear one.
A traffic light system for lanyards for delegates to express their level of comfort regarding social distancing.
