Our previous drug repurposing conferences have been a huge success, and this year we are thrilled to be teaming up with REMEDi4ALL, and MeRIT to deliver, Bridging Boundaries: Innovating, Connecting & Reshaping Drug Repurposing.
The conference will take place at Recinte Modernista De Sant Pau in Barcelona on 6th-7th March 2024.
We will be joined by key opinion leaders, researchers and patient advocates all looking to drive innovation within the world of drug repurposing.
We are excited to share that the conference will also feature a dedicated drug repurposing for rare diseases pathway with a variety of sessions covering:
- Why care about repurposing for rare diseases?
- Leading a drug repurposing project
- The evolving rare disease landscape: past, present and future
Hear from our CEO, Dr Rick Thompson:
Our conference, Drug Repurposing for Rare Diseases, has been a mainstay of our calendar ever since I joined Beacon in 2015.
We’ve been really fortunate to have some amazing speakers over the years, and to see the audience and impact of our event grow. With drug repurposing receiving more and more attention on the global stage, we were given the opportunity to combine our established event with REMEDi4ALL’s International Drug Repurposing conference early last year.
The chance to bring the community feel of Beacon events to a global stage, where we can impact regulators, payers, and researchers with our strong patient focus, is very exciting to me and the whole team.
We hope that our established UK audience will join us on this adventure, as I am personally very keen to ensure that the amazing UK rare disease repurposing ecosystem is not left behind by advances in Europe.
Thank you to everyone who has made Beacon’s conference a success to date, and I can’t wait to see many of you in Barcelona this March!
